All American QA

Commander in Chief - 4/7/2022

Team:

In the last few days I've had several comments on email, FB messenger, etc from folks I don't even know asking about the AA Requirements!

Comments range from 'do we have to meet all of the criteria or just 100% membership' to "are we eligible if we aren't in the top 25" to 'do we get any recognition if we aren't in the top 25'.  It's been interesting.

Some thoughts:

  1.  I did not PULL the social media requirement from AA.  The deadline was extended to 30 Jun.  Please reinforce the SM requirement is still a requirement
  2. Every post that meets all of the requirements is considered an All American Post.  There is no special gold star sticker on your certificate if you finish in the top 25.  The top 25 just get a few extras but they are not "more special"...there is no mission creep!
  3. EVERY post that meets the AA requirements will receive the citation, streamer, and magazine recognition.  This is in the membership program that apparently no one reads.
  4. Every member of an AA post is entitled to purchase an AA cap that says "member" on the side.  This is a team accomplishment.

As you work through the next three months, please let your posts know that everyone can be an AA if they work hard.  They need to meet the minimum requirement and if they do, they are AA.  Minimum = win. Lynn's dashboard is a great tool for tracking IF they report. The membership team is here to help so reach out to them.

If we raise awareness and encourage our Posts they can all have the opportunity to be considered All American.  What a legacy you can have within your state if you have a lot of your posts being able to claim that title!
